President Maia Sandu is to participate in the summit of the European Political Community in Granada, Spain
The President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu is making a state visit on October 2-4 to the Portuguese Republic to promote our country's accession to the European Union and to deepen bilateral relations. During the visit, the President will also have a meeting with our citizens settled in Portugal, informs the Presidency.
According to a press release from the Presidency, on October 5, Maia Sandu will participate in the summit of the European Political Community, which will take place in the city of Granada, Kingdom of Spain. During the summit, which precedes the meeting of the European Council on October 6, also in Granada, the head of state will discuss with counterparts and leaders of the EU institutions, the challenges on the European continent, the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the EU and the ongoing reforms.
The last edition of the summit of the European Political Community took place on June 1, 2023, in the Republic of Moldova and gathered 49 European leaders.
