The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, signed the decree on the promulgation of the law on the amendment of the Electoral Code. We remind you that, on Wednesday, the Parliament voted in two readings the amendments to the Electoral Code that reconcile the normative framework with the considerations of the Constitutional Court.
The document was developed by a group of deputies from the PAS Fraction and concerns the provisions that refer to the fact that the persons who, on the date of the pronouncement of the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the declaration of the unconstitutionality of a political party, were members of the executive body or held elective positions in the side of the respective party, will not be able to be elected in electoral polls.
