The new institution will offer vocational training programs in accordance with Austrian standards, according to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC). The college is scheduled to begin operations on September 1, 2025.

According to the MEC, during the meeting, the two ministers signed a letter of intent to extend the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research of the Republic of Austria. The document provides for the expansion of cooperation in the field of education and vocational training through joint projects that will contribute to the economic growth of the two countries.

During a meeting with OeAD Director General Jakob Calice, Minister Dan Perciun noted that Austria has been one of the MEC's main partners for the past 20 years, implementing (in partnership with the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalisation (OeAD) and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA)) various projects in the field of vocational education, lifelong learning, initial and continuous teacher training, or inclusive education.
