516 Moldovans returned from Israel in the last 7 days
From October 7 until now, 516 citizens of the Republic of Moldova returned home, and in the same period, 253 Moldovan citizens left for Tel-Aviv, announced the spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă.
Daniel Vodă said that the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv maintains permanent contact with our citizens in the Gaza Strip and works, together with partner states, including the USA, Egypt, Romania and Ukraine, to find feasible options for their evacuation from the area. In addition, a consular official has been seconded to Egypt to provide assistance to our citizens in the Gaza Strip.
Ben Gurion International Airport also remains open, and authorities are urging those wishing to leave Israel to use available scheduled flights to Chisinau or other nearby destinations.
We mention that the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel operates in an alert mode, even on weekends and provides both emergency and regular consular services. In accordance with the decision of the Commission for Emergency Situations, during the state of war, it was decided to issue free travel documents for Moldovan citizens in Israel, who were unable to pay during the state of war.
