Mihai Popșoi, at APCE: We will support Ukraine up to victory!
We will support Ukraine until the moment of victory! The statement was made by the vice-president of the Parliament, Mihai Popșoi, during the fall session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
Popșoi also said that the perception of the Republic of Moldova towards the Russian Federation has changed, and Putin's Russia is perceived as the main threat to the national security of our country.
"It is good that we have reached this point where there are no more excuses, where it is clear to everyone what a difficult situation this region has been in for decades. I have to admit that we, the Moldovans, too, wasted a lot of time and only now have we reached this collective wisdom to identify Putin's Russia as the main threat to our country's national security within the National Security Strategy, which is currently being discussed in Moldova. Despite our modest resources, we strengthen the resilience of state institutions and ensure that Moldova contributes its share to support Ukraine."
Between October 9 and 13, the delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova participates in the autumn session of the PACE, which is held in Strasbourg. Among the topics covered in the autumn session are those related to the role of the Council of Europe in preventing conflicts, restoring the credibility of international institutions and promoting global peace.
