Moldovans can check voter registration until October 29
Moldovans can check the accuracy of their voter registration until October 29, both at polling stations and online at verifica.cec.md, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced.
Citizens with the right to vote can check their inclusion or exclusion from the list, as well as the correction of errors. The CEC announced that changes to voter registration lists can be requested at least seven days before Election Day.
"The electoral bureau immediately communicates the requested changes to the registrars of the local public administration authorities, along with supporting documents. The registrar verifies the data and makes the appropriate entries in the State Register of Voters, as appropriate. After making the changes, the voter registration lists are reprinted, at least 7 days before Election Day, and are transmitted no later than with the ballots, in 2 stamped copies with other security markings on each page, one of which is transmitted for safekeeping to the mayor's office through the electoral bureau," the electoral body further announced.
According to the CEC, there are currently over 2.7 million citizens with the right to vote.
