Parliament adopted a statement in support of the people of Israel and condemnation of the terrorist attacks
The Parliament adopted, on Thursday, October 19, a Declaration expressing support for the people of Israel and condemning the terrorist attacks. The declaration was adopted with the vote of 75 deputies.
The statement states that on October 7, 2023, the terrorist group Hamas "undertook a cruel and barbaric attack on the civilian population of Israel and against the State of Israel." In this context, the Republic of Moldova joins the world states that have expressed their solidarity with the people of Israel and vehemently condemns the brutality of the actions committed by the terrorist group Hamas against the civilian population, the massive rocket attacks and the massacre of the civilian population. The document also condemns the barbaric practices of taking hostages, demanding their immediate and unconditional release.
At the same time, the authors of the declaration reconfirm their support for the people of Israel, and the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova stands in solidarity with the civilized world in supporting Israel in its fight to defend its own citizens and the right to exist.
The declaration was signed by a group of deputies from the "Action and Solidarity Party" Faction.
