A person with Israeli and Romanian citizenship is being held hostage in the Gaza Strip

A person with Israeli and Romanian citizenship, initially reported in the list of missing persons, is being held hostage in the Gaza Strip, announces the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Bucharest, reports Rador.

So far, the Embassy of Romania in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General of Romania in Haifa have not received requests for consular support regarding the disappearance or death of other Romanian citizens in Israel and maintain contact with the authorities in this country.

More than 200 foreign and dual-national Israeli hostages were abducted and taken to Gaza by Hamas fighters in the unprecedented attack on October 7.

The first hostage release, confirmed by both sides, happened on Saturday. It's about two American women kidnapped while they were visiting Kibbutz Nahal Oz.
