Igor Grosu will participate in the Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea International Platform

The Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, will participate in the second Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea International Platform. The meeting will take place tomorrow, in Prague, being organized by Ukraine and the Czech Republic, informs the press service of the Legislative in Chisinau.

During the summit, Igor Grosu will give a speech and will participate in the discussions on the sidelines of the plenary session and the two thematic panels. The Parliament Speaker will have several meetings with his counterparts present at the event and will sign, together with the President of the Supreme Rada from Kyiv, Ruslan Stefanchuk, a memorandum of understanding between the parliamentary institutions of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. Also, the Parliament Speaker will meet with Moldovans settled in the Czech Republic.

"The "Crimea International Platform" parliamentary summit will address multiple aspects of the current security situation in Ukraine and the possibilities of national parliaments and international parliamentary institutions to contribute to the Platform's priority areas of activity. More than 50 presidents and vice-presidents of parliament from different countries and presidents and vice-presidents of parliamentary assemblies of international institutions will participate in the meeting", reads the press service of the Parliament.

A joint declaration will be adopted at the end of the summit.

Crimea Platform – is an international consultation and coordination format initiated by Ukraine, with the main goal of the liberation of Crimea and its peaceful return to Ukraine.

The platform aims to increase the effectiveness of the international response to the ongoing occupation of Crimea and the growing security threats, to respond to growing security threats, to increase international pressure on the Kremlin, to prevent further human rights violations and to protect victims of the occupation regime.
