MAEIE: Over 1,800 Moldovan citizens have returned to the country since the beginning of the war in Israel
Since the beginning of the war in Israel until now, 1,855 Moldovan citizens have returned to the Republic of Moldova, announced in a briefing the spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă. He said that, during the same period, another 591 compatriots left for Israel.
"Regarding the Rafah crossing, it was opened for humanitarian aid, but unfortunately remains closed for the evacuation of civilians. The authorities maintain a constant dialogue with foreign partners, we are talking about Egypt, but also the state of Israel, as well as Romania and Ukraine in order to plan the evacuation operation, when it will be possible, of our citizens from the Gaza Strip", said Daniel Vodă .
In the context in which the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel announced yesterday the entry into the air market of two new Israeli airlines, which will operate direct flights starting on November 1, the spokesperson of the Government urged the citizens who wish to leave the State of Israel to make use of available flights, including those with stopovers.
Moreover, Daniel Vodă recalled the importance of complying with the security recommendations issued by the Israeli authorities. "If you have close relatives, family members who are in Israel, do not hesitate to make sure that they are in contact with our diplomatic mission," said Daniel Vodă.
