Searches at Comrat into a file on the organization of illegal migration
Border police officers from the Sud Regional Directorate and prosecutors from Taraclia raided on Saturday the house of a resident of the municipality of Comrat, documented on organizing illegal migration for a Ukrainian citizen.
According to the Border Police, the Ukrainian would have offered the sum of 4,500 dollars to ensure the illegal crossing of the border from Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova and the subsequent movement to the EU.
Following the investigations, it was established that the citizen of the Republic of Moldova, in complicity with a citizen of Ukraine, organized the fraudulent crossing of the state border for a Ukrainian man. He managed to ensure his entry into the Republic of Moldova, through the area of responsibility of the Valea Perjei Border Police Sector, where the immigrant was detected.
Based on the materials, searches were carried out at the man's residence, from where mobile phones were found, which were allegedly used during the commission of the crime, as well as other evidence. Investigations continue to check the circumstances.
