President Maia Sandu and the Vice-President of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova visit Taraclia

President Maia Sandu and Vice-President Iliana Iotova are visiting Taraclia, where they will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the monument to the national hero of Bulgaria, Vasil Levski.

According to the Presidency, the two officials will visit the "Vasil Levski" multicultural youth center, where they will talk with students from four schools in the city of Taraclia.

The visit to Taraclia coincides with the marking of Bessarabian Bulgarian Day on October 29 and Bulgarian Enlighteners Day on November 1, when Bulgarians celebrate spirituality and national identity.

The Vice-President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Iliana Iotova, is on a working visit to the Republic of Moldova.

Yesterday, the official from Bulgaria had meetings with the Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu. The discussions focused on deepening the cooperative relations between the two states. The Chisinau authorities count on Bulgaria's support regarding the opening of the accession negotiations of the Republic of Moldova to the EU.
