Natalia Gavrilița: Our place is in the European family and we will do everything possible so that this well-being is felt by every citizen
The year 2022 was marked by crises and challenges, but, according to Natalia Gavrilița, the authorities managed to lay the foundations of a state in which the rising generations want to stay. Natalia Gavrilița urges citizens to trust that they are following a good direction. The place of the Republic of Moldova is in the great European family and the Executive will make every effort so that every citizen of the country can fully enjoy this opportunity, mentions the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Natalia Gavrilița, in her congratulatory message addressed to the citizens.
"We are at the end of a year in which we have gone through several trials. We are all tired of worrying news and uncertainty, but the winter holidays give us a break to be with family and friends, to be filled with positive emotions and to focus on what is most important. Many have returned home from abroad, dear people whom we miss constantly. At our beautiful holiday meals, we will share our worries and hardships, but we will also do what we have always done - we will enjoy peace, we will be grateful for health, we will be proud of the achievements of our children and loved ones, we will celebrate the fact that we can be together, and - I'm sure - we will find strength and optimism in ourselves", says the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova in her message.
The Head of the Executive mentions that 2022 was the year of challenges: the energy crisis, the multiple crises caused by Russia's aggression in Ukraine, the increase in prices, attempts at political destabilisation. In this context, the government's mission was not an easy one, but a very important one - to maintain peace, ensure the continuity of reforms and provide citizens with the necessary support during the crisis.
"In a year like this you can't do miracles, but I think we managed to lay the foundations of a state where our children want to stay, live their lives in peace, justice and prosperity. A state where every person can lead their life with dignity and confidence that tomorrow will be better. Looking back on this year, I can say with all responsibility that I am proud of my country and especially of our people, wherever they are. I am proud of the way we stood in solidarity, opened our hearts and our homes, the way we helped our neighbours fleeing from the unjust war, the way we shared with them the little we have", mentions the head of the Executive.
According to Natalia Gavrilița, she wants the people to keep the same spirit of unity and solidarity in the coming year, and the Government assumes the responsibility to do everything to be closer to the people.
"It is important to have confidence that we are going in a good direction. This year, our country became a candidate state for joining the European Union. Our place is in the European family and we will do our best to ensure that this expected and deserved well-being is felt fully and as soon as possible by every citizen. I urge you to trust each other as well, in tomorrow and the coming year. Let's together make the Republic of Moldova the country we want and deserve!", reads the message of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
At the end, the head of the Executive came with the traditional New Year greeting in Russian, Ukrainian and Romanian languages.
"Merry Christmas and bright holidays with your family and friends! Happy Christmas and happy holidays with your relatives and friends! Happy birthday, health, achievements and, above all, peace!", wished Natalia Gavrilița.
