36 Moldovans who left the Gaza Strip on Tuesday will be repatriated from Cairo
The 36 Moldovans, who left the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, are to be repatriated today, with a special Tarom race from Cairo, together with 93 other Romanian citizens, writes Digi24. According to the cited source, today, another 51 Romanian citizens will be removed from the Gaza Strip.
The refugees will be welcomed in Cairo by Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, government sources told News.ro. Ciolacu is to return to Romania with them.
We mention that on Tuesday 103 Romanians were to be repatriated from the Gaza Strip, but not all of them managed to pass the necessary procedures, because people leaving the Gaza Strip go through two checks: one Israeli and one Egyptian. There are still 51 Romanians on a list of people who will be evacuated today. At the same time, from yesterday's list, there are still 10 Romanians left who must pass to Egypt.
We remind you that, on Tuesday, the Chisinau authorities announced that 36 Moldovans were evacuated from the Gaza Strip. The MFAIE previously informed that 50 Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip requested assistance, including evacuation, out of about 100-120 citizens registered in this area.
