Rafah point was reopened. 101 Romanians and their families could leave Gaza on Sunday

The border crossing point at Rafah was reopened on Sunday, and during the day the evacuation procedures will continue from the Gaza Strip of 101 Romanian citizens and members of their families, who had received transit permission from the Israeli authorities on Friday, November 10, and Egyptians, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania (MAE).

Also, according to the MAE, the Romanian Representation Office in Ramallah remains in permanent contact with Romanian citizens and family members who requested evacuation from the Gaza Strip, reads the quoted source.

Currently, the Interinstitutional Crisis Cell activated at the MFA level, through the Romanian diplomatic missions in Cairo and Tel Aviv and the Romanian Representative Office in Ramallah, continues the dialogue with the Egyptian and Israeli authorities until the operations are completed.

A group of 41 Romanian citizens and their relatives arrived in Romania on Saturday with a C-130 Hercules plane of the Romanian Air Force, having been taken from Egypt after leaving the Gaza Strip on November 9.

Another group of Romanian citizens and family members, totaling 93 people, arrived safely in Bucharest earlier this week after they were evacuated from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing.
