President of the European Parliament comes to the Republic of Moldova
The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, will return to the Republic of Moldova to participate in the EUROSFAT Forum on November 28, 2023, Expert-Group announces. According to the organization, this event will discuss the European path of our country, the preservation and deepening of European values, as well as the steps to be followed in order to integrate.
We remind you that the head of the European Parliament has been to our country several times. On November 11, last year, Roberta Metsola also gave a speech in the Chisinau Parliament. Then the President of the EP reiterated that the place of the Republic of Moldova is in the European Union, and the European Parliament will do everything necessary to support us on the way to becoming a member state of the EU.
On May 21, she participated in the "European Moldova" Assembly, where she also gave a speech in the Grand National Assembly Square. Later, on June 1, she was present at the European Political Community Summit, which took place in Bulboaca.
We remind you that, on November 8, the European Commission recommended the member countries of the European Union to initiate negotiations for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the EU. However, a final decision in this regard will be taken in December at the European Summit in Brussels.
