The European Union - Ukraine summit will take place in Kiev
The European Union - Ukraine summit will take place on February 3 in Kiev, although initially the meeting was to take place in Brussels, the Ukrainian Presidential Office announced.

The decision to hold the summit in the capital of Ukraine was agreed by Volodymyr Zelensky and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen during a telephone conversation. The two officials talked about the situation at the front, Ukraine's progress on the path to EU membership and European financial support for Kyiv.
At the meeting planned for February 3, the heads of state and government of the EU member states will not participate, but only the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the president of the European Council, Charles Michel.
As the summit is to be held in Kyiv, this also puts an end to speculation about a possible visit abroad by the president of Ukraine after Volodymyr Zelenskiy's surprise trip to Washington in December, reports Agerpres.
