UPDATE Nicu Popescu: "During the last month, we worked day and night to ensure that our citizens, stuck in the Gaza Strip, can leave this area. The process was very complicated, we took several actions, we deployed additional consular officers to strengthen the activities of the Embassy, we also deployed a consular officer to Egypt. We also made a diplomatic effort to convince international actors that Moldovan citizens should be on these lists for evacuation. We managed to evacuate 45 Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip until this morning. The first Moldovans arrived with the help of Romania, the other 9 Moldovan citizens returned thanks to the cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities. Today, the last eight citizens, who requested evacuation, left the territory of the Gaza Strip and are in the care of our consular officer in Egypt. A few hours ago, the process of evacuating Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip, namely the citizens who wanted to be evacuated, was completed. With the support of the Embassy in Israel, we managed to attract three more airlines that are going to launch flights, including the state company".

UPDATE Nicu Popescu: "We have completed those measures that we proposed in the process of preparing our country for the accession negotiations. On November 8, the EU found that the Republic of Moldova fully fulfilled six recommendations, and the other three are almost fulfilled. This means, and here I will quote a figure communicated by the European Commission, of the nine recommendations, the Republic of Moldova has fulfilled 94% of the measures expected to achieve full implementation"
