The Chisinau-Kyiv train race was included in the list of the best routes in Europe. The Lonely Planet platform has compiled a ranking of the best routes worth traveling in 2023. This top includes the Chisinau-Kyiv route. The announcement was made by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Daniel Vodă, in a post published on his Facebook page.
The author of the ranking mentions the route that starts in Chisinau and ends in the capital of Ukraine and that it is called the "victory train". The route includes a stop at Ungheni railway station in the west of the Republic of Moldova, from where a connection can be made to the city of Iași in Romania.Moreover, it is mentioned about the Chisinau-Kyiv railway race that it was a symbol of resistance during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
