TRM kicks off the national stage of the EUROVISION 2024 contest
As of November 22, the Public Broadcaster "Teleradio-Moldova" is launching the national stage of Eurovision 2024. Performers who want to represent the country at the most prestigious European music contest, which will take place in May 2024 in Sweden, can sign up in competition.
Applicants must submit the registration application, project description, digital audio materials and a list of applications by December 22.
The content of the participation file and the entire regulation of the contest can be accessed on the website https://eurovision.md/. Performers also have two options for sending the file, in electronic format or on paper at the Eurovision 2024 Collection Center, which is located in Chisinau, 64 Hâncești str, TV Moldova 1 (anteroom). The song entered in the contest must be original, not longer than three minutes and not published before September 1, 2023.
The National Selection for the appointment of our country's representative at EUROVISION 2024 will take place in three stages: examination of files; live hearing; the national final.
The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the host broadcaster, Sveriges Television (SVT), the competition will take place at Arena Henlinksy and will consist of two semi-finals on 7 and 9 May and a final on 11 May 2024.
The Republic of Moldova has been participating in the "Eurovision" International Contest since 2005. That year, our country, represented by the band "Zdob și Zdub", placed sixth. The band "SunStroke Project" scored the best result in 2017, third place in this contest.
