Snowstorm could keep Chisinau students home
The mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, announced on Facebook that a proposal to have students in the capital stay home on Monday, November 27, will be examined by the Chisinau Emergency Situations Commission. The commission will also analyse the situation in the city.
The Ministry of Education and Research also recommends that local authorities examine the possibility of suspending educational activities in localities where access to educational institutions is difficult or impossible.
In addition, authorities are recommended to check school transportation more thoroughly, including by calling the General Inspectorate of Police to ensure the safe transportation of children.
The schedule for making up the missed classes will be decided by local/municipal authorities.
