New decisions adopted by the CSE: 300 million lei will be allocated to compensate thermal energy costs
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will transfer 200 million lei in advance to the Joint Stock Company "Termoelectrica", for the compensation of thermal energy prices granted to vulnerable consumers, between November and December 2023. The decision was approved, today, during the Commission meeting for Emergency Situations, convened by Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
Also, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will transfer another 100 million lei in advance to SA "CET-Nord" to provide compensation for thermal energy bills to consumers in the municipality of Bălți, for the period November - December 2023. Also today, CSE members decided to allocate 1.9 million lei, from the Government's Intervention Fund, for the maintenance of Temporary Placement Centers for refugees.
Another 57.8 million lei will be distributed to provide financial incentives to certain categories of employees in the social sphere and to finance social assistance measures, granted to children in risk situations, including from refugee families.
The financial resources were granted from the United Nations Children's Fund in the Republic of Moldova, based on the Memorandum of Understanding, signed with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
