The "Yellow-Greens" took the lead early on through Guinean defender Fode Camara in the 22nd minute. However, Dacia-Buiucani staged a remarkable comeback in the second half. Ilie Botnari equalised for Dacia-Buiucani in the 37th minute, setting the stage for a thrilling finish. Eugen Zasavițchi stepped up to the occasion, converting a crucial penalty in the 71st minute to seal the victory for Dacia-Buiucani.

With this hard-fought win, Dacia-Buiucani finished the regular season with 12 points, edging out FC Florești by two points. Florești, despite defeating Milsami Orhei 1-0 in the final round, will play in the Liga 1 starting in March.

Petrocub Hâncești capitalised on Zimbru's loss, delivering a resounding 7-0 thrashing to Spartanii-Sportul Selemet. Petrocub's dominant performance propelled them to second place in the regular season standings, level on 28 points with Milsami. However, Petrocub emerged victorious in the head-to-head tiebreakers, earning them six home games in the playoffs, while Milsami split their games evenly between home and away fixtures.

Sheriff Tiraspol, the reigning winter champions, surprisingly ended their regular season with a 1-3 defeat to CSF Bălți. This unexpected loss marked Sheriff's second consecutive setback, a rare occurrence for the team in recent years.
