Maia Sandu, meeting with the head of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau: "The authorities are making an effort to fight corruption"
The progress and challenges in justice reform were discussed today by the head of state, Maia Sandu, with the head of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau, Falk Lange, reads a press release from the Presidency.
The head of state appreciated the expertise of the Council of Europe in strengthening the electoral framework and media pluralism and, in particular, the close cooperation with the members of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission).
Maia Sandu reiterated that the authorities are making every effort to fight corruption and to strengthen the rule of law.
