Strategic control item found in passenger luggage
Moldovan Customs officials at Chișinău International Airport intercepted a 27-year-old Moldovan national attempting to smuggle a surveillance camera into the country, the Customs Service announced today.
The camera, which falls under the category of goods requiring "strategic control," was discovered in the passenger's luggage and had not been declared during customs procedures, according to the official statement.
The confiscated camera now faces potential seizure, and the individual involved may be subject to further sanctions for the smuggling attempt.
