Harbin Ice City has opened its doors. Hundreds of sculptures - on display for free

The 39th edition of the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival kicked off in China on Thursday, the largest carnival of its kind in the world. Although the highs reach minus 20 degrees Celsius in the "Ice City", people continue to practise winter sports and visit tourist attractions. One of the most eye-catching objects is an eight-metre high snow sculpture of a rabbit. Here are 30 amateur teams creating ice sculptures.
