Nicu Popescu, phone discussion with the new Foreign Minister of Poland about the support for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the EU

Bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and Poland, as well as support for our country's objective in the process of joining the European Union, were the topics discussed by the head of diplomacy from Chisinau, Nicu Popescu, with the new Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski.

The Deputy Prime Minister also referred to the meeting of the European Council on December 14-15, an event where important decisions will be made for the EU expansion and for area of peace and security in the region.

"Poland is an important supporter of the development and reform process of our country, and we continue to count on the continuous support of Polish partners", declared Nicu Popescu.

At the same time, the deputy prime minister sent congratulations and good luck to his counterpart in the exercise of his mandate as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
