European Council rules: Green light for negotiations
The European Union opens accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova. The President of the European Council, Charles Michel announced that the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine received the green light for negotiations. Also, Georgia obtained the status of a candidate country. Bosnia and Herzegovina will start the negotiation procedure in March if the European Commission's assessment is positive.
"It is a strong breath of hope for the peoples of these three countries and good news for our continent" - Charles Michel wrote.

Today's decision to open negotiations for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union is a victory for all of us. 27 heads of state and government of the European Union said "yes" for our country, they said "yes" for our European future.
