The Moldovan Parliament has approved the protocol to the INTERBUS Agreement, which governs occasional passenger transport by road.

This agreement brings several key improvements. Firstly, operators will be obligated to display route details, stops, schedules, and fares prominently and accessible for all passengers. This transparency empowers passengers to make informed travel choices and ensures fair service.

Secondly, the protocol simplifies the authorization process for bus and coach operators wishing to run services between Moldova and the EU. This streamlined procedure will reduce administrative hurdles and encourage more operators to enter the market, benefiting both passengers with increased options and businesses with potential growth opportunities.

"This step signifies a significant advancement in integrating Moldova's transport system with the European network," declared a statement from the Parliament. "It promises improved travel experiences for passengers while opening up new business avenues."

The protocol will come into effect 30 days after its official publication in the European Union's Official Journal.
