Filmmakers from 20 European countries gathered, for the first time, in Chisinau on the sidelines of the CinemaHora 2024 Forum. The head of state Maia Sandu was also present at the event, who appreciated the evolution of Moldovan cinema in recent years. In her speech, the president assured that the state will continue to support the local film industry.
Also, the president emphasized that we are proud of the international recognition of our directors and that the local public is increasingly appreciating the films produced in our country.
The head of state urged Moldovan and international filmmakers to collaborate in co-productions that would tell about the "difficult times" marked by Russia's war against Ukraine.
