"Celebrating European Moldova". Citizens of the Republic of Moldova are invited today at the Presidency

The citizens of our country are invited today, December 17, to participate in the "Celebrating European Moldova" event, which will take place in the Presidency square, starting at 2:00 p.m. The event takes place in the context of the European Council's decision to open accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova.

According to a press release from the Presidency, throughout the event, children and adults will be able to participate in creative activities with volunteers, take memorable photos celebrating the historic decision to start negotiations with the EU and enjoy the artistic program prepared by the organizers .

Performers will take the stage: Satoshi, Ensemble Plăiesii, Ana Cernicova, Moldovan National Youth Orchestra, Cătălin Josan, Pasha Parfeni and Radu Dolgan.

At 16:00, President Maia Sandu will have a message for the citizens. The event will be broadcast live on the pages of the Presidency and the Government of the Republic of Moldova.

We remind you that the European Council decided on December 14 to open accession negotiations with Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.

Deputies meet in a new plenary session. According to the agenda approved by the Standing Bureau, the Parliament is to ratify an agreement that provides for Canada to offer a loan to the Republic of Moldova in the amount of 120 million Canadian dollars, the equivalent of over one and a half billion lei. The money will be used to strengthen the resilience of households, including refugees, but also to support climate resilience and the transition to green energy. On the agenda is also a project to adjust the national regulatory framework with the provisions of the European Union legislation regarding contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services. At today's meeting, the appointment of some members of the Superior Council of Magistracy is also planned. These are Sergiu Băieșu and Tatiana Tabuncic.
