A pedestrian crossing the street irregularly, fatally hit by a car in Ialoveni

A 41-year-old man died after he was hit by a car near the town of Horești in the Ialoveni district. The tragedy happened on Sunday, December 17, around 4:30 p.m. The information was confirmed for Moldova1 TV by the press officer of IP Ialoveni, Mariana Didenco.

According to the information presented, a police crew intervened on the scene. The law enforcement officers determined, preliminarily, that a 27-year-old man, while driving a car at speed, hit the pedestrian, a 41-year-old man. As a result of the impact, he died on the spot.

The victim was crossing the street irregularly, in an unlit place. At the same time, the law enforcement officers found that the driver had not consumed alcohol.

An investigation was initiated on the case to establish all the circumstances in which the tragedy occurred.
