Parliament will denounce two more agreements concluded with the CSI
Parliament will denounce two more agreements concluded on the platform of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The members of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission approved the reports for two advisory opinions that assume this, reads a statement issued by the Legislative.
Thus, the Agreement on Military Observer Groups and Collective Peacekeeping Forces in the CIS, signed in Kiev on March 20, 1992, and the Protocol on the temporary procedure for the formation and employment of Military Observer Groups and Collective Peacekeeping Forces, maintenance of peace in conflict zones between states and in the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, signed on August 4, 1992 will be denounced. The denunciation of these documents was proposed by the Ministry of Defense.
In the informative note it is mentioned that it is not appropriate to maintain the status of a member state of the Republic of Moldova to these international instruments, since our country does not interact in the political-military fields within the CIS. Another document that will be denounced is the Agreement of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States regarding collaboration for the purpose of technical and material assurance of the competent bodies in the field of combating terrorism and other violent forms of extremism. The proposal belongs to the Intelligence and Security Service, which mentions that, during the last years, SIS did not benefit from the provisions of this act.
During this year, the deputies denounced, in the final reading, 22 agreements concluded on the CSI platform.
