Operating term of the IT Park in the Republic of Moldova will be extended until 2035

The term of operation of the IT Park in the Republic of Moldova will be extended until 2035, the single tax of 7% being kept. The Parliament voted in the second reading a project to amend the Law on IT Parks.

The list of eligible types of activity is to be expanded. With export limitation, call center activities and other labor supply services will be able to be carried out.

At the same time, a Council will be established to coordinate the activity of the IT Park. It will be formed by representatives of the Government, the associative sector, the residents of the Park, as well as the development partners.

The IT park in the Republic of Moldova started its activity on January 1, 2018. According to the current legislation, its operating term cannot exceed 10 years, i.e. until December 31, 2027.

At the end of last year, more than 1300 companies were active in the IT Park, including numerous foreign investors from 39 countries. 5% of Moldova IT Park resident companies provide a level of 57% of jobs in the IT sector. The total turnover for 2022 shows total revenues of around 13.6 billion lei.
