General Assembly of Prosecutors appointed five members of the CSP

The Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) has 5 new members, elected today by secret ballot, at the General Assembly of Prosecutors. The candidate from the General Prosecutor's Office, Dumitru Obada, obtained the most votes, 413. From the specialized and territorial prosecutor's offices, Aliona Nesterov was appointed to the CSP with the highest score - 364 votes.

According to the regulation, five candidates who obtained the most votes became members of the CSP. They are: Dumitru Obada, Aliona Nesterov, Eduard Panea, Elena Roșior and Olesea Vîrlan.

We remind you that 7 candidates were admitted for the position of CSP member, who passed the evaluation of the Pre-Vetting Commission.

At today's meeting of the General Assembly of Prosecutors, which has been postponed several times so far, 490 prosecutors from all over the country participated.

The CSP consists of 5 prosecutors elected from among state prosecutors within the General Assembly of Prosecutors and 4 members, appointed by the Government, Parliament, Presidency and civil society.
