Zelenskiy’s Christmas message: “In the end, darkness will lose and evil will be defeated”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sent his countrymen a Christmas message on Sunday in which he promised them that “in the end darkness will lose and evil will be defeated”, referring to the invasion launched by Russia in Ukraine in February 2022, writes Digi24.RO.
Zelensky said that all of Ukraine will pray together during the Christmas holiday.
“We will all pray for our freedom, for our victory, for our Ukraine,” said the head of the Ukrainian state, reports the DPA agency, quoted by Agerpres.
He thanked the Ukrainian soldiers now at the front and addressed their families.
“All fighters of light, guardian angels of Ukraine, proved that there are miracles, but we have to create them ourselves,” said the Ukrainian leader.
Christmas is celebrated this year for the first time in Ukraine at the same time as the Western world, on December 25 of the Gregorian calendar, a signal that marks the break with the Russian Orthodox Church.
