"Teleradio-Moldova" company admitted 32 songs for the live audition stage of the Eurovision contest

Following the examination of the 51 files entered in the contest, the "Teleradio-Moldova" company admitted 32 songs for the stage of live auditions. The songs will be heard by the professional jury on January 13 and also then the finalists of the Eurovision 2024 National Selection will be selected. The National Final will take place on February 17.

The live auditions on January 13 will be broadcast live by the Moldova 2 TV and on its website, as well as on www.eurovision.md.

The score will be awarded 100% by the jury. The composition of the judging team will be made public only on the day of the respective stage. The jury will consist of an odd number of members (minimum 3, maximum 5) and will be different from the one in the National Final. According to the Regulation, the evaluation criteria of the songs are: the melodic line, the originality of the song and the performance.

Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden, following Loreen's victory last year with the song "Tattoo". The semi-finals will take place on May 7 and 9, and the winning country will be determined in the final on May 11.

Last year, the Republic of Moldova was represented by Pasha Parfeni, who ranked 18th in the Grand Final, with the song Soarele si Luna. Moldova's best result at Eurovision was in 2017, when the band SunStroke Project took 3rd place with the song Hey Mamma.
