Maia Sandu, about the air attacks launched today by Russia on Ukraine: "My thoughts are with all those affected"
Today's aggression highlights the urgent need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense capabilities in order to protect lives, President Maia Sandu wrote on social media after Russia's massive attack on the neighboring country.

Russia launched its biggest airstrike on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian military said, with an unprecedented number of drones and missiles fired at targets across the country. As a result, at least 22 people died and over 130 were injured.
The wave of attacks began on Friday night. Explosions were reported in Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia and others.
