Stranded passengers took to social media and local news outlets to express their frustration, highlighting the disruption caused by the sudden lack of public transportation.

"Bălți 24" Telegram channel reported the power line malfunction near the city's mayor's office, while "Bălți Online" shared a video capturing the stranded trolleybuses, empty and motionless along their routes. The video's caption poignantly summed up the situation: "This is how the morning went for ordinary Bălțeni who had to take public transportation to get to work. From the 8th district, only on foot."

The power outage coincided with the issuance of an orange weather alert by meteorologists, warning of heavy snowfall, blizzards in some areas, and strong winds reaching up to 20 meters per second. Temperatures are expected to plummet by 10-15 degrees Celsius compared to recent days, further compounding the challenges presented by the disrupted transportation system.

Authorities haven't yet released an estimated timeline for restoring power or resuming trolleybus operations. Commuters are advised to seek alternative transportation options during this period.
