Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children has a modern ultrasonography device
The Republican Children's Rehabilitation Center was equipped with a high-performance ultrasonography device, which allows the diagnosis of several children's conditions, such as cardiovascular and musculoskeletal ones. The ultrasound machine, worth 978 thousand lei, was bought with the financial support of the Government of Japan within the "Kusanone" Program, reads a press release issued by the Ministry of Health.
Also, with the help of the equipment, ultrasound-guided botulinum toxin can be administered into the muscles of children with cerebral palsy to relax it. The new method of antispastic treatment is carried out for the purpose of functional recovery of children.
The Ministry of Health mentions that within the institution children from all over the country can benefit from free rehabilitation services.
During the donation event, the ambassador of Japan in Chisinau, Yamada Yoichiro emphasized that "The Japanese government is proud to collaborate with the Republic of Moldova and will continue to do so during the journey towards joining the European Union".
We remind that the human security grant program "Kusanone" was launched in the Republic of Moldova in 2008. To date, Japan has provided grant funding in the amount of 7.3 million USD for 88 projects in areas such as education, healthcare and public utilities.
