He said for the Digi 24 interview that the Russian services are present on the left of the Nistru and are trying provocations. However, the population and businessmen of the secessionist region understand the importance of peace.

"It is the first time since independence and the start of the conflict on the Dniester, when this region is totally dependent on imports on the Western border.

Alexandru Rotaru: I mean, you control the separatist region at the moment.

Igor Grosu: Now we can say that we know 100% what goods are getting there and what is being exported. And I think this is an advantage that must be used. The most important thing is that our citizens on the left of the Nistru understand, they do not want to be involved in this adventure, this crime that Putin, a war criminal, is committing in Ukraine, the businessmen there understand very well the risks and on share the advantages of the European integration process."
