Iran stated that five of its Revolutionary Guard members were killed in a rocket attack on a house in Damascus, attributed to Israel. Security sources in Lebanon reported that an Israeli attack killed a member of Hezbollah, supported by Iran.

During Saturday, rockets launched by Iran-backed militants in Iraq, where such groups targeted U.S. forces, hit the al-Asad airbase, according to the U.S. Central Command. Several U.S. personnel were being assessed for traumatic brain injuries, and an Iraqi soldier was injured, it added.

The United States also announced targeting a missile directed by the Iranian-backed Houthi group in Yemen towards the Red Sea, describing it as a threat to navigation.

Israel bombarded targets across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, with its planes dropping leaflets in the southern Rafah area, urging Palestinians seeking refuge there to help locate hostages held by Hamas, according to residents.

Hamas is part of Iran's "Axis of Resistance," a regional alliance that also includes Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad, Shiite militias in Iraq, and the Houthis, who control a significant part of Yemen.
