PACE winter session begins

The winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe begins today in Strasbourg and will last until January 26.

The agenda of the session includes discussions on recent developments in the Middle East, cases of torture in detention facilities in Europe, misuse of the legal system, freedom of the media and safety of journalists, the situation of children in Ukraine, the trials in Belarus, and the elections in Serbia.

The Delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova includes Mihai Popșoi, Vlad Batrîncea, Ion Groza, Natalia Davidovici and Adela Răileanu.

The Republic of Moldova has been a member of the Council of Europe since 1995.
