The Foreign Ministers of Romania and the Republic of Moldova condemn the Russian attacks on the cities of Kiev and Kharkiv

Romania and the Republic of Moldova strongly condemn the Russian attacks on Tuesday on the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, and the city of Kharkiv, which resulted in several deaths and injuries. The statements were made today by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, Luminița Odobescu and Nicu Popescu, in a press conference.

The head of Romanian diplomacy, Luminița Odobescu, declared that the Republic of Moldova remains the most affected neighbor of Ukraine, given that Russia continues its war of aggression and its destabilizing actions.

"I saw this last night as well. Romania condemns in the strongest terms Russia's attacks on civilians, on civilian infrastructure in several Ukrainian cities, attacks resulting in dead and wounded. In recent years, the Chisinau authorities have had to cope with an impressive number of destabilizing actions as part of the hybrid war orchestrated by Moscow," said Luminița Odobescu.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs from Chisinau, Nicu Popescu, mentioned that "we also join this firm condemnation of the brutal war launched by the Russian Federation on Ukraine and obviously of the attacks last night".

We remind that several regions of Ukraine were under alert on Tuesday morning, and residents were forced to take shelter after the armed forces reported rocket fire. According to the latest information, 22 people were injured as a result of the bombings on Kiev. In Kharkiv, five people died and another 51 were injured.
