More than 194 thousand people benefited from compensated medicines in December
The National Medical Insurance Company (CNAM) transferred to the contracted pharmacies about 92 million lei for the compensated medicines and medical devices, issued in December 2023. Over 194 thousand people benefited from these medicines.
The most money, about 48 million lei, was allocated for preparations intended for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, reads a press release.
For compensated medical devices, CNAM transferred around 5.1 million lei. According to the company, around 17 thousand people with diabetes have benefited from medical devices for determining blood sugar levels.
The prescription for compensated medicines and medical devices is valid in all pharmacies contracted by CNAM throughout the country.
