US Senate Proposes $118 Billion Aid Package for Ukraine, Israel, and Border Security

Humanitarian Aid:
The bill also includes $10 billion in humanitarian assistance for civilians in the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Ukraine.
Presidential Support:
President Biden urged Congress to pass the bill, emphasising its importance in supporting Ukraine and Israel. He declared his intention to sign it upon arrival on his desk.
"I urge Congress to come together and swiftly pass this bipartisan agreement," President Joe Biden said, also praising the migration measures in the bill, which took months to negotiate.
Previous Proposal and Significance:
This represents a substantial increase in US support compared to Biden's previous $106 billion proposal for Ukraine and Israel, which currently awaits Congressional approval. The Senate's proposed package arrives at a critical juncture, with the ongoing war in Ukraine and heightened tensions in the Middle East demanding international attention.
