The Government meets in session: Interinstitutional Supervisory Council is to be created in the Republic of Moldova

In the Republic of Moldova, an inter-institutional supervisory council is to be created, responsible for the application of sanctions by our country and the application of international restrictive measures. The Cabinet of Ministers is to approve today the Regulation on the operation of the entity during the Government meeting.

The inter-institutional supervisory council is to be led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean, and the leaders of the main authorities and public institutions will be part of its composition.

Under the project, the council will be a collegial body created to ensure the cooperation framework in the field of implementation of international restrictive measures in our country and will have the right to introduce its own measures. Thus, the members of the Council will be able to monitor the sanctions applied by the Republic of Moldova,to inform the persons concerned about them and to communicate the reasons for the decisions.

During the Government meeting, the approval of the Program regarding the distribution of road funds for the year 2024 will be discussed. According to the document, more than 366 million lei are allocated for the maintenance of roads in the summer, and for the winter - more than 90 million lei.

Also today, the Cabinet of Ministers is to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Moldova and Romania regarding the projects necessary to interconnect the natural gas and electricity networks.

Also, the Executive will examine a draft decision that establishes the composition of the official delegation and that will negotiate the agreement to establish in the city of Taraclia, the branch of the "Angel Kanchev" University in Bulgaria. According to this Agreement, the "Grigore Țamblac" State University in Taraclia will be liquidated, and the students and teachers will be transferred to the new institution.

Two draft resolutions are included on the agenda of the Government meeting, which establish that several entrepreneurs in the Free Economic Zones and Industrial Parks will be subject to controls throughout the year. The Environmental Protection Inspectorate, the Customs Service and the State Labor Inspectorate are some of the institutions that requested these monitorings.
