Accordionist and conductor Mihai Amihalachioaie passed away

The well-known accordionist, conductor of folk, symphonic and opera music Mihai Amihalachioaie, Master of Arts, passed away at the age of 63. The announcement was made by his colleagues, informs MOLDPRES.

He was born on February 23, 1961, in the village of Molnitsa, Chernivtsi region, Ukraine. He started his musical studies at the Music School in the city of Herța, after which he continued them at the "Ștefan Neaga" College of Music.

In 1985, he graduated from the "Gavriil Musicescu" State Conservatory (today - Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts), majoring in piano, accordion and folk orchestra conducting. In 1997, he graduated from the second faculty at the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts, specializing in conducting symphonic and opera music.

Since 1998, he has been the conductor of the National Philharmonic, the National Chamber Orchestra, the Chisinau Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and the conductor of the Chisinau National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

In 1985, he began his musical career as an accordionist and folk music conductor of the "Busuioc Moldovenesc" Ensemble. In 1998, he collaborates, as a conductor, with the National Philharmonic, the National Chamber Orchestra and the Chisinau Radio-TV Symphony Orchestra. He was an employee of the "Maria Bieșu" National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

He collaborated with the "Provincialii" Group from Romania. He performed artistic tours abroad, such as Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, etc.

In 2001, for his entire activity, he was awarded the honorary title Master of Art.
