The foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Moldova, discussed by the Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi with the EU ambassadors
The foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Moldova, as well as topical regional and international issues, were discussed by Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi during a meeting with ambassadors from the EU states accredited in Chisinau. The dialogue regarding our country's accession to the European Union will remain a major priority of Moldovan diplomacy, the minister said.
Mihai Popșoi also reported on the process of sharing competences between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office for European Integration. The Moldovan official noted that we are determined to form an effective team to advance our goals both externally and internally.
"In exercising my mandate, I will focus on strengthening an active, present and visible diplomacy. Traditional bilateral partnerships will constitute a landmark in external cooperation, complemented by the consolidation of dialogue with states in geographical areas of interest ", said the minister.
During the dialogue, Mihai Popșoi thanked the ambassadors for the support offered to the Republic of Moldova in difficult moments, but also for the contribution of the states they represent to the initiation of negotiations for our country's accession to the European Union.
