Mihai Popșoi will participate in the Munich Security Conference

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, will participate in the 60th edition of the Security Conference in Munich, between February 16-18. According to the MAE, the agenda of this year's edition will include discussions on Europe's role in security and defense, the consequences of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, new visions of the global order, but also the security implications of climate change.

The event will bring together over 50 heads of state and government, as well as over 100 ministers from around the world. Thus, on the sidelines of the conference, the Moldovan official will have a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts, parliamentarians and heads of international organizations.

The discussions will focus on topical aspects of the international agenda, including the vulnerabilities generated by the current global context, opportunities to strengthen bilateral collaboration, as well as our country's European path.

The Munich Security Conference was initiated in 1963 and is an annual high-level event and one of the most important forums for debate and exchange of views on current issues and international security policies.
